Black Smith motor sports has pumped in K25, 000 into this year’s Zambia International Motor Rally which will kick off in Lusaka on October 21st.
This is the second year that Sarago Motors, a privately owned leading supplier of a rich array of vehicles, is partnering with the Zambia Motor Sport Association (ZMSA).
Speaking at the donation ceremony at Sarago Motors showroom located in Lusaka, company Chief Operating Officer Ms. Luonde Kyanamina, stated that the Sarago Motors is the sponsor for the 2022 Zambia International Motor Rally for the second consecutive year.
In the over 50 year history of the event, “This year’s rally has proven to be one of the most prestigious competitions in Africa and maybe even the toughest and we appreciate the rally’s rich heritage,” she said.
She added that has ZMSA it looks forward to showcasing its multifaceted portfolio of services it offers in the motoring sector and beyond.
And ZMSA president Sam Ching’ambu described the coming on board of Black Smith as a “huge relief.”
“It gives us great pleasure to partner with Black Smith. It is a huge relief on us, as the burden of hosting a sporting event of this magnitude is lightened,” he said.
This year’s Sarago Motors Zambia International Motor Rally will be flagged off from Radisson Blu on the 21st of October and will terminate on October 23rd at the R&G Arena in Lusaka.
The rally is expected to attract more than 17 local drivers, and so far 28 driver have confirmed and 6 international drivers have registered for participation.
