
A late Brian Mwila free – kick was all that Buildcon needed to shoot to the summit of the league after their 1 – 0 win over Prison Leopards at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe.
Buildcon recorded their second straight win but not without trouble as they had to wait until the last minute of the game to get all the three points,
Prison’s Damiano Kola missed a penalty in the 57th minute but Mwila showed precision on the other end of the pitch as all he needed was a small deflection to score the goal,
The win takes team Kopala to top of the log with six points after building on their 2 – 1 win over Green Eagles last week.
On their other hand, Kafue Celtic were given a big boys’ welcome after being hammered 4 – 1 by Forest Rangers at Nkana Stadium.
Erick Chomba scored a brace while Quadri Kola and Jonathan Munalula contributed a goal apiece to give Forest the four goals with Celtic getting their consolation from Albert Kangwanda.
In Lusaka, Dynamos played to a scoreless draw against Konkola Blades at Woodlands Stadium while Nkwazi were beaten 1 – 0 by Green Buffaloes courtesy of a George Ngoma strike.
Chambishi and Indeni played to a 1 – all draw with goals from Kelvin Chomba and Mathews Tolopa scoring for either side respectively.
