Senior Chieftainess Nkomeshya MUKAMAMBO II has allocated a piece of land To Chongwe Municipal Council for the construction of a Modern Fire Station.
She said the land has been dormant since 2008 when it was allocated to the Zambia Police to put up senior and junior staff houses and an Administration Block for the police station.
She has since reallocated it to the Council and urged the council management to develop it quickly.
And Chongwe Municipal Council Town Clerk Mulowa Sishumba expressed his gratitude adding that he will ensure that the land is developed within the shortest period possible so that it begins to add value to Chongwe residents.
The piece of land is about 0.2 Hectares and situated next to the newly constructed Chongwe Police Post off Great East Road.
