The Swedish Ambassador to Zambia says there is still room for more women and Young people to be in key Decision- making positions as the current numbers indicate that more needs to be done in this aspect.

Speaking during the launch of civil society organisations Elections Report dubbed ‘Unmasked’, her Excellency Anna Maj HultGard says important lessons must be carried forward to attain a just and Equitable political Governance system.

Ms. HultGard further states that improving on key challenges identified in the handling of pre-Election activities such as voter registration, meaningful campaign strategies and transparent voting and counting process are key issues that are at the core of the report contents being launched today.

And speaking at the same event, Action Aid Zambia Country Director Nalucha Nganga Ziba says that the report highlights targeted recommendations for improvement in Zambia’s electoral processes including a betterment of advocacy strategies that civil society organisations can take up to further consolidate the gains of their dedicated work in Governance.
