STRIKER Patson Daka was on Thursday in a record performance for his club side Leicester City after becoming the club record top scorer three months after joining the club.
In July, Daka became a Leicester player after leaving Austrian side RB Salzburg following an impressive three years spent at that club.
Having scored his first competitive goal for Leicester in October against Manchester United, Daka has been making his presence felt at the club especial in the Europa League.
On Thursday, he scored the fifth goal in the competition to be the club’s top scorer in Europe one goal ahead of Algerian Riyad Mahrez, and celebrated English striker Jamie Vardy.
This was in a game against Polish side Legia Warsaw in which his club won 3 – 1.
Daka told the club’s website that he was happy have helped his team to a win.
““It was an amazing performance from the team tonight, great football, a great atmosphere from the fans. It was a really important victory for us tonight.
“I’m a goal scorer, I know my responsibility, I know my job, so I just have to make sure that I’m in the right place at the right time and of course, I know the quality that we have in the team, so I just have to put the icing on the cake.
“It also shows the confidence that I’m receiving from the team, and support, so I just make sure I utilise every chance that I get,” Daka said.
