Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) women’s premier league, Solwezi based team Police Dove Queens Football club is targeting to finish the season in the top four. According to a statement posted on its official Facebook page, the Zambia police sponsored side says its aim is to play in the Confederation of African Football (CAF). “We are not leaving any stone unturned in our crusade to finish in the top four in the 2020/2021 Zambian women’s premier league season as the league resumes,” reads the statement in part. Early this year, Zambia’s football governing body (FAZ) temporary suspended the league due to escalating numbers of Covid19 cases. Meanwhile, the club has clarified that its first home game will be against the Zambia Air Force sponsored side Red Arrows women team commonly known as ‘Air Women’ on 22 September. This follows the memo on amendments of game schedule by FAZ. The game against the Air women will be the only one the Police Dove Queens will play this month as the league resumes.
