A 36 year old man in Solwezi has committed suicide after attempting to rape his twin brother’s wife.
According to North Western Province Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr. Fred Mulenga, the sad incident happened on Saturday around 21 hours in Kikombe area and identified the deceased as Roy Mulonga of T13 Kikombe area.
Dr. Mulenga disclosed that the deceased hanged himself on a mangos tree using a wire.
“The incident was reported by the father to deceased Ezekiel Mulonga that his son had committed suicide after attempting to rape the wife to his twin brother which caused him to be embarrassed and killed himself,” said Dr. Mulenga.
He said the body has been deposited in Solwezi general hospital mortuary awaiting burial as no foul play has been suspected.
