ZANACO coach Kelvin Kaindu has described as fair being drawn against three time Confederation Cup champions CS Sfaxien in the group stage of the competition.
Zanaco were handed what seems like a difficult draw in Group A of the Confederation Cup with all three of their opponents coming from North Africa.
The Bankers will be squaring it off with Sfaxien, Pyramids FC of Egypt and Libya’s Al Ahli.
Reacting to the draw, Kaindu said the draw was fair.
“It is a fair draw, we have information about Pyramid we know how we play we have played them before, we are aware of them…It means we have to fly to North Africa may be even go through Dubai and this is what make it difficult to catch up in league games.
“We have a bit of time to plan and prepare for the group stage, the biggest enemy will be travelling, it hasn’t been easy traveling to North Africa, it takes two days or three days to be on the road,” he said.
He said the team will have to prepare well for their opponents.
Zanaco are Zambia’s only remaining envoys in continental games with Kabwe Warriors, Red Arrows and Zesco United all being eliminated.
