FASHION Sakala has paid tribute to his former coach Steven Gerrard following his departure for Aston Villa after leaving Scottish giants Ranger FC.
On Wednesday, Gerrard was announced as Villa coach, marking a return to the Premier League, this time as a coach after a successful spell at Rangers.
Sadly for Sakala, he will not spend more time with Gerrard who signed him on at the start of the season from Belgian side KV Oostende.
Sakala has played 18 competitive games under Gerrard scoring five goals.
In bidding farewell to his coach, Sakala described the Liverpool icon as a legend.
“I am truly grateful and blessed that I was able to learn from a legend Steven Gerrard and he gave me the confidence to work extra hard. Good luck in the future coach,” Sakala wrote on his Facebook page.
Sakala will now have a task to prove himself to the new coach at the club.
