Waking up to some very sad news in Kafue.
Police in Kafue have arrested a Community Health Assistant at Mungu Health Post for allegedly defiling a 12-year-old girl.
The Community Health Assistant only identified as Edward has been detained at Mtendere Police Post in Kafue for allegedly defiling a 12-year-old girl.
The incident which is said to have happened on Saturday morning at the health facility has angered the community.
Edward is alleged to have administered an Anaesthesia injection which made the 12-year-old girl unconscious before he allegedly defiled her.
“This man was given a chance in life and he reached the level of Health worker but instead of holding talks with the girls to inspire them to achieve more and be ambitious, he decided to use his health profession to destroy a little girl’s life how evil” Kafue Town Council Chairperson Buumba Malambo said in reaction to the sad development.
Ms. Malambo said that she is following up on the issue with the seriousness it deserves adding that she will not allow rape and defilers in Kafue.
“Anyone destroying a child’s life will face the law without fear or favor” she vowed.
She has since encouraged the community in Kafue to report all cases of Rape and Defilement so that together children can.
