A 30 year old woman of Solwezi’s Messengers compound has been murdered by her husband.
The incident is said to have happened on Wednesday between 01 to 04 hours according to the North western province deputy commissioner of police Dr. Fred Mulenga who identified the deceased as Lizzy Mulenga and the suspect as Kingsford Mulenga.
“The incident was reported by Liness Mulenga aged 24 years of messengers that her brother by the names of Mulenga Kingsford has murdered his Wife Lizzy Mulenga aged 30 years of the same abode,” said Dr. Mulenga.
Dr. Mulenga said the deceased sustained a deep cut on the back of the head and several other cuts on the body.
He said police have not yet established what led to the murder but was quick to mention that the couple has always been fighting from the time they got married.
He said a docket has been opened and that the suspect has been arrested after he surrendered himself at Kazomba police post.
