Dancehall and hip-hop sensation Jay Rox has described his collaboration with rap star Slapdee as a moment of perfect chemistry.
Jay Rox whose real name is Jackson Ng’ambi says he could not have recruited a better artiste for his new single than the XYZ General.
The versatile musician on Monday, October 4, 2021 released a brand new song accompanied by a music video entitled ‘Commotion’ featuring Slapdee, which is off his forthcoming album dubbed ‘Enigma’.
The Headphone Music mogul said going by the track record of their previous collaborations, the song promises to be yet another hit.
Jay Rox views both himself and the rap legend as artistes who are creatively alike.
“I think me and Slap are very similar in the way we view things both as individuals and creatives. It just felt right to put someone that would express themselves in the same line as me,” he said.
‘Commotion’ marks the second time the two artistes are working together in two consecutive years, after the critically acclaimed ‘Green Light’ which was off Jay Rox’s 2020 album ‘Scar’.
It is however, the third time overall that Roxa as he is affectionately referred to by fans, teams up with Slapdee with their first project together being ‘Banibelesha’ which was off his 2012 album Mvesesani.
This high-profile release comes barely two weeks after Jay Rox dropped a brand new single with Macky 2 called ‘Calibre’ which is equally expected to make the final cut for ‘Enigma’.
‘Commotion’ is available on all major streaming platforms, while the video has been uploaded to Jay Rox’s YouTube channel.
