…as UPND’s Leemans Nyirenda brands him a ‘lunatic’
Embattled PF member, Chishimba Kambwili has come under fire for his perpetual preaching of hate speech and tribalism against ruling party and its leadership.
On 30th June, 2021, the Electoral Commission of Zambia-ECZ-indefinitely suspended Kambwili from participating in any election related activities for preaching hate speech and tribalism.
This has prompted UPND member, Leemans Nyirenda to challenge Mr. Kambwili to furnish the nation with the premise on which he has persistently based his ferocious attacks on the UPND based on tribal lines.
Addressing the Press at the UPND headquarters in Lusaka today, Mr. Nyirenda, who accused Mr. Kambwili of being a “mad” man who had lost his mind, charged that it was unfortunate that Mr. Kambwili has styled himself as the frontrunner in the opposition’s party’s (PF) agenda of using tribalism as a vehicle on which to gain political sympathy from Zambians.
And outlining a long catalogue of instances on which Mr. Kambwili is alleged to have used hate speech and tribal rantings against the UPND and its hierarchy, Mr. Nyirenda challenged the self-styled, honourary doctor to a legal fight.
He also scoffed at Mr. Kambwili’s recent assertions that President Hichilema intended to arrest him, further advising him to allow the head of State to discharge his duties of rolling out development to the nation unhindered.
