KANSANSHI Dynamos have edged Konkola Blades 1 – 0 in a league match played on Friday to move into firth on the table with 14 points.

Striker Mathews Maleka’s second-half goal was enough to hand Kansanshi the win and stretched Blades’ winless run to six games.

In the first half, striker Adams Zikiru had his penalty saved by Blades keeper Willard Mwanza but that did not stop the home team from reorganizing in the second stanza.

The deciding goal came in the 50th minute when Maleka was in the receiving end of a Bruce Musakanya pass to finish off the chance.

The loss will mount pressure on Blades coach Levy Chabala who has gone the last six-game without registering a win for the Chililabombwe side.

League action will continue on Saturday with two games on display where Zesco United will host Green Eagles while Nkwazi play Kafue Celtic.

We have an action-packed Sunday with the biggest game being Nkana against leader Green Buffaloes while Indeni play Prison Leopards.

Zanaco will square it off against Lusaka Dynamos while Power Dynamos are in Lusaka to face inconsistent Red Arrows with Kabwe Warriors playing Buildcon.

Chambishi will face Forest Ranges.
