CHIPOLOPOLO goalkeeper Mwenya Chibwe has said it is time to fix everything that has gone wrong with the national team during the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers.
Zambia is set to conclude their World Cup qualifying run with matches against Mauritania and Tunisia on Saturday and Tuesday respectively.
The team stands little chance of making it to the next stage of the qualifiers having fluffed their chances in the opening four matches.
Chibwe who joined the team ahead of Saturday’s game said in an interview yesterday that the time to fix things is now as the team seeks to move forward.
“There is no better time to fix everything that went wrong in other these [two] games so let’s start with these games and prepare to go forward.
“I feel it is our time now to start fixing everything with the team going forward with whatever competition that is coming next there is nothing like it is just a formality we are going there to do our best and win as much as we can,” Chibwe said.
Chibwe has also welcomed the competition that in – form keeper Toaster Nsabata will bring to the team.
“It is a comeback after a long time, my first camp I was with him. That was the first time I was with him so for him coming back he is doing well in South Africa…it is only fair enough. Competition is good whoever plays I have been happy and supporting whoever plays,” he said.
He said Zambia will also give it their all in the game against Tunisia.
“The Tunisia game, it will be had a hard fought we are going to redeem ourselves from what they did to us when we were playing at home,” he said.
