ZESCO says that power load shedding lasting for about three hours affecting most parts of the country is back effective Friday 29th October, 2021.

The power cuts will be done between 18:30 and 21:30hrs and will last until 7th November, 2021.

The load shedding is due to the taking out of two generator units at Kariba North Bank extension and Kafue Gorge upper for repair and maintenance works.

ZESCO Senior Corporate Affairs Manager, John Kunda disclosed this during a media briefing today.

He said this has resulted in a power deficit of 200 Mega Watts.

Dr. Kunda however says that Hospitals, Clinics, maximum demand customers among other will be put into consideration.
