Nkana coach Beston Chambeshi was not pleased with the red card given to midfielder Obed Masumbuko in their 1 – 0 win over Kabwe Warriors in Kabwe.
Celebrated Zambian referee Janny Sikazwe gave Masumbuko his marching orders in the 41st minute after committing a second bookable offense.
The Nkana coach who also doubles as Chipolopolo trainer said in a post match interview that the referee appeared unsure with his decision.
“I can’t say anything because it is the referee’s decision…I know for him [the referee] it was okay but a game like this, you should make sure you show a genuine red card,” Chambeshi said.
Nkana needed a 84th minute strike from Alex Ng’onga to beat Warriors who are coached by former Nkana trainer Manfred Chabinga.
In other matches played on Sunday, Kafue Celtic produced a shocker after they beat then leaders Buildcon 1 – 0 with Albert Kangwanda scoring the lone goal while Green Buffaloes beat Red Arrows 2 – 1 at Nkoloma Stadium.
