THE National Association of Media Arts(NAMA) has described the appointment of actor and politician Kangwa Chileshe as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Youth, arts and sport as timely and well- deserved.
In a media statement, NAMA president Bridget Chibwe Malumba thanked the New Dawn Government and the Republican President Hakainde Hichelema for the appointment.
“The appointment of Mr. Kangwa Chileshe is timely, as the new NAMA executive is pushing its main agenda to see the growth of the sector (arts and film sector).
We believe having a member of the media arts in this high position of decision-making in a government ministry comes with it a favourable environment to push the sector forward,” She stated.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank the New Dawn Government under the leadership of His Excellence President Hakainde Hichilema for this well-deserved appointment. We wish Mr. Chileshe well and God’s guidance.”
