NDOLA District Commissioner Anthony Katongo has pledged to support the government of day and the United Nation for National Development (UPND) party manifesto.
At a press briefing held at his office today, Mr. Katongo urged civil servants and members of public to support the new government.
“As civil servants, our role is to support the government and work with the government of day .I urge you to study the manifesto of the UPND and implement the policies as outlined,” he said.
Mr. Katongo said the president elect Hakainde Hichilema has emphasized on the rule of law and that civil servants are implementers of policies.
He said Mr. Hichilema’s speech was inspiring and gave a lot of Zambians hope.
Mr. Katongo has since congratulated Mr. Hichilema and UPND party for emerging Victorious in the just ended general election.
