The Ndola District Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NDCCI) has called for the introduction of rapid reforms anchored on strong work ethics in the public and private sectors.

NDCCI president Paul Chisunka said the business community in Ndola was ready to support the new government in rebuilding the nation.

Mr. Chisunka said there was need to promote peace, national and domestic security, political and economic stabilization as well as building strong institutions of governance for zero-tolerance for corruption.

“There is a great appetite from the business community to increase investments in the Zambian economy due to the confidence we have in President Hakainde Hichilema’s management abilities and leadership qualities,” he said.

Mr. Chisuka said the new government should work on creating a supportive business environment which should be prioritised on the agenda.

“As Private Sector we look forward to holding a round-table of ideas with the new government as soon as they settle down to look into amicably resolving outstanding issues and reviving the Zambian economy through public and private sector cooperation,” he said.

Mr. Chisunka said the business community had congratulated President Hichilema on his inauguration to serve as the seventh Zambia.
