Neria’s Investiments has anticipated a bumper harvest owing to government’s commitment to distribute all the farming inputs early.

Company managing director Mr Martin Chaikatisha whose company is distributing the farming inputs said he will ensure that all the targets are met so that farmers can start the planting early once the rains start.

He was speaking when he toured the petauke warehouse to check on the how the whole process is moving.

Mr Chaikatisha said the redeeming of farming inputs was going on smoothly and that the staff at the warehouses were working round the clock to ensure the job is well done.

Mr Chaikatisha said President Hakainde Hichilema has been on firm ground that farming inputs should be distributed on time and that his company was ready and equal to the task.

Meanwhile Petauke District Agriculture Coordinator Mwaba Lubasi said the district had 21,374 farmers on FISP and that so far 3,000 had redeemed their fertilizer.

Mr Lubasi said the district was observing COVID-19 guidelines and that farmers were happy that the process was going on well.

He said the district had recieved 74,000 bags of D Compound and 60,000 of Urea from Neria’s Investments Limited which was ready for distribution.
