The North Western Chamber of Commerce and Industry will on 2nd 3rd of December this year host Mini Expo.
Chamber president Mukumbi Kafuta said the mini expo is aimed at enhancing Business and Trade between the business community in the province and the Captains of Industry.
Mr. Kafuta said the event is also aimed at creating a platform where the private sector can have an understanding of the contents of the Integrated Development Plans (IDPs) for North Western Province so as to trigger partnerships, co-financing, funding programmes and projects from the IDPs.
“The event will also provide guidance on how to prepare for opportunities to access Constituency Development Fund (CDF) across the eleven districts of North Western Province. Opportunities under Climate Fund (Green Finance Projects) will also be unveiled to the province,” said Mr. Kafuta.
He further said the event is in response to the budget speech by Finance minister Situmbeko Musokotwane where various pronouncements were made.
“And as a chamber we believe that these pronouncements will steer up a lot of investment in the province and possible reinvestment by those who are already in the space,” he said.
Mr. Kafuta disclosed that during the same event, all the eleven districts in the region will be accorded an opportunity to unveil their Integrated Development Plans (IDPs).
He said IDPs are a critical component in the economic and social development of the region hence being incorporated in the event.
