Minister Water Development, Sanitation and Environmental Protection Mike Mposha has advised North western Water Supply and Sanitation Company to do its best in ensuring that it provides  sanitation services to the people.

Mr. Mposha says this is the only way communicable diseases can be prevented.

“The population has increased in most areas and people are now using boreholes which at the end of the day the water underground gets contaminated due to a number soak ways around,” he said.

He said the scenario should change because it hinges on the lives of the people.

He said the services must tag along the development of the area.

“Actually, the normal situation is that as the area opens up for development, it should be services first. So, am challenging you to start servicing the area because that is another way we can widen our revenue base, “he said.
