The opposition Patriotic Front has scooped both the Kaumbwe Constituency and Lusangazi Council Chairperson seat in Eastern Province.
PF Parliamentary candidate Aaron Mwanza has emerged victorous in the just ended by elections and has pledged to honour his developmental promise to the people.
Out of 46 polling stations, PF candidate Dr Mwanza got 6,633, Esnart Sakala of UPND got 3,117,Masauso Daka of Socialist Party got 1,835.
Wilbase Tembo of Democratic Party got 517, Listed Tembo independent got 446, Yunike Mwale independent got 191 and Charles Nynoke of PNUP got 120.
And speaking after Dr Mwanza was declared the winner, PF Central Committee Member in charge of Information and Publicity Rapheal Nakachinda said the victory is the beginning of UPND losing the 2026 general elections.
He said people of Kaumbwe have rejected UPND because of its fake promises.
And Dr Mwanza has promised to take victory to the area by ensuring that all that he promised is fulfilled.
He said the people of Kaumbwe will not suffer during his reign.
