President Hakainde Hichilema has been challenged to address the issue of the gay agenda.
Speculations that the UPND government intends to introduce gayism in Zambia has been a topical issue which has led to various stakeholders questioning the agenda behind it.
Green Party president Peter Sinkamba has since called on the head of state to use the opportunity in today’s press conference to settle the matter once and for all.
“The President has been elusive on the matter, but he needs to be categorical and not generic on the when he talks about so that he matter is completely put to rest” Mr. Sinkamba said
He told New Zambia in an interview that President Hichilema has been talking about the promotion of human rights and also usually mentions the issue of civil liberties under which gay rights fall.
Mr. Sinkamba has further observed that the matter needs to be dealt with without leaving any shade of doubt in the minds of the Zambians who are eager to know their societal standing regarding the issue.
He notes that the promotion of human rights is everyone’s desire adding that people need to know various categories of rights such in order to fully appreciate them.
