STRIKER Friday Samu produced a five star performance scoring five goals all by himself in a 5-0 bashing of Indeni.

Green Buffaloes opened up an eight point lead at the summit of the log following a good showing by Samu who banged the net five times.

Indeni began life without Mwenya Chipepo on Friday but it was a bad start for interim coach Frank Miti as the team wee mauled by Buffaloes.

There mauling started in opening five minutes when Samu found the back of the net to open the scoring for the home side.

11 minutes later, Samu completed his brace to to ensure that his side goals onto the break leading 2-0.

He was not done as he continued his fine form in the second half when he completed his hat trick in the 50th minute.

Indeni defense marshalled by Aaron Katebe has no answers for Samu who scored his fourth goal of the match in the 72nd minute.

He completed his five – star performance in the 74th minute when he managed to score the fifth goal of the match.

Samu becomes the first player to score five goals in a single match in over two decades with the last player to do so being Joel Kabemba who used to play defunct Zamsure.

Kabemba managed this in the 2000 season when Zamsure beat Nkwazi 5-1.

The scoring bring Samu’s tally for the season to eight goals.

Buffaloes now lead the table with 19 points, eight better than second placed Buildcon who are in action tomorrow against Nkwazi.
