Savenda General Insurance(SGi) has been unveiled as platinum sponsors for the Anne Kansiime Confirmed Comedy Tour in Zambia starting on November 6th at ECL Mall in Kitwe and on 12th November, in Lusaka at Mulungushi International Conference.
SGi head of operations, Anthony Lukwesa announced this development at a press briefing held in Lusaka and streamed live on various Facebook Pages such as Ken Dumbo Comedy, IDC, Mwanachingwala and others.
The show expected to attract local and foreign guests will also help promote tourism.
” We are very delighted to be associated with the comedians in Zambia as well as this tour by Anne Kansiime,” said Mr. Lukwesa.
“It is important for the comedians to be given this platform to shine. For us it’s a plus. When Savenda was formed, part of our responsibility is that we help the government create employment. So we are supplementing the effort of the government to create employment in this country. How do we create employment? So we are giving back to society, what they are giving to us, by giving the artistes especially upcoming artistes a platform to shine,” he said.
Apart from arts, Mr. Lukwesa said Savenda is also sponsoring Rugby as well as football. He said these efforts will continue.
Mr. Lukwesa added that since we are coming from COVID 19, where people lost a lot of their loved ones, this comedy show will be a good way for the country to heal. He encouraged other corporate houses to come on board.
