VETERAN Zambian musician, gender activist and child rights promoter Daputa Nkhata Zulu famously known as Sista D is tomorrow Sunday, November 28th, set to release a single dubbed ‘ Woman Blame’ to add her voice to the commemoration of 16 Days of Activism against Gender based violence who’s theme is: ORANGE THE WORLD, END VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS.
” I continue to add my voice on a number of issues that affect Women. Women continue to face many challenges even in the 21st century, ” said Sista D in explaining her new song.
” From the beginning, a lot of negative social issues are blamed on the woman. With various issues being swept under the carpet, in this song titled WOMAN BLAME I talk of the Blame Culture towards Women.”
Sista D calls on the public to listen to the song, enjoy it but most importantly, learn from it.
The song will be available on various social media platforms.
On this song, produced by Kaza One under Dread Arts, Sista D has used authentic rhythms and instrumentation. It is set in some laid-back reggae tone complemented by Sista D’s vocals. She reminds all that ‘A woman needs love, and needs to smile.’
