Social economist Kelvin Chisanga weighs in on Zambia’s economic priorities for the next administration

ZAMBIA needs a leadership that will trigger investor confidence and  render the much needed credibility sovereign rating, social economist Kelvin Chisanga has said.

Mr. Chisanga says president-elect Hakainde Hichilema should  take up some few pieces from where PF has left by clearly ensuring that healthcare sector is now stocked up with medicine and clinical requirements in the hospitals and clinics.

He says Mr. Hichilema needs to seriously take up the national debt issue as a matter of critical attention and the focus should be restructuring and making alignment not to miss any bullet payments required in the coming years.

As a national leader with such personality and character, there is an expectation to see him create market potential based on certain tactical policies that could potentially aid in creating job opportunities particularly for the unemployed youths.
