Chawama Member of Parliament Tasila Lungu has denied purchasing a Bank with its assets.
Ms. Lungu posted on her Facebook page that It came to her attention that fake news is being peddled on social media on Crown TV page, The Candidates and other online media alleging that she is being investigated for a suspicious purchase of a bank together with its assets worth K300 million.
The Chawama Lawmaker says she is not aware of any investigation by any investigation agency and that she has since instructed her lawyers to commence legal proceedings against the people behind the misinformation.
“I have not purchased any bank nor its assets, neither do I have the capacity to do so,
“It has come to my attention that fake news is being peddled on social media on Crown TV page, The Candidates and other online media alleging that I am being investigated for a suspicious purchase of a bank together with its assets worth K300 million.
“I have not purchased any bank nor its assets, nor do I have the capacity to do so and I am not aware of any investigations by any agency against myself.
