Patriotic Front Solwezi district Information and Publicity Secretary Rodgers Manjomba has with immediate effect resigned from the former ruling party.
According to the resignation letter addressed to the acting provincial chairman, Mr. Manjomba states that he has chosen to stay away from politics even as he ponders for his next move.
“I would like to notify you that I have with immediate effect resigned from my position,” read the letter in part.
He has thanked the party leadership for entrusting him with the position which he said he served with passion and dignity.
And Kasempa PF vice youth chairman Jacob Shiompa has also resigned from his position.
He said he wants to concentrate on his job and business.
Meanwhile, PF Mufumbwe losing council chairman candidate Steven Kamwengo has ditched the former ruling party citing bad working culture especially during the campaigns.
Mr. Kamwengo states that the work done by party officials during the campaigns was terrible adding that it contributed to his loss.
He said for now he will stay away from politics as he reflects on his next move.
“I wish to thank the party for the great opportunity to work with you and also for according me an opportunity to contest in the 2021 General election as Council Chairperson for Mufumbwe District Council,” reads the resignation letter.
