Speaking during the Vice President question and answer session in parliament, Mrs. Nalumango said it is important for the people in government positions to understand the vision of the government.
She added that sabotaging government by the perceived PF supporters can not only disadvantage the government but the people of Zambia.
“Government is fully aware of the growing concern about the perceived slowness by the UPND government to take charge of the country,” she said.
Mrs. Nalumango added that The New Dawn Government will not be pushed to fire people perceived to have been employed by the former governing party the PF, because it does not want to address the issue in an haphazard way just to get rid of some people.
“Other than following the legal provisions in dealing with the matter, government also wants to ensure that right people are identified to fill up every position that will be left vacant,” she said.
The Vice President was responding to a question from Zambezi East Member of Parliament, Brian Kambita who wanted to know why the UPND government is taking long to fire PF civil servants whom he suspects of sabotaging the government affairs, further accusing Zesco Managing Director Victor Mundende as being one of the victims owing to increased load shedding in the country.
