The Zambia Revenue Authority(ZRA) has been awarded as the Best in Leadership, best integrity and best performing institute in Zambia 2021.
The awards which were presented to the Authority by government come at a time when the authority was also awarded as the best performing revenue authority in Africa April 2021. ZRA exceeded its 2021 annual target by K20 billion four months before end of the year.
In October 2021, FINTEC awarded ZRA for technological innovation that has made payments of taxes easier and increased tax compliance in Zambia.
Credit goes to ZRA staff and the Board for their focus and consistent exceptional performance in the last 5 years under the management leadership of the Commissioner General Dr. Kingsley Chanda.
Dr. Chanda was however unceremoniously fired by the new Dawn government last month and replaced by an ICT specialist Mr. Dingani Banda.
