A Human Resource Manager at Sunrain limited in Solwezi, Renox Banda has allegedly disappeared in to thin air with about K285,714.00 of his employers money.
The incident is said to have happened on Friday around 8 hours.
According to North Western Province Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr. Fred Mulenga, the suspect was sent to deposit the money at a named commercial bank but ran away with it.
Dr. Mulenga said the case which is Theft by servant was reported around 18 hours by Xiaotian Hi a 29 year old Chinese national, that cash has been stolen.
“A docket has since been opened and no arrest has been made while investigations have been instituted,” said Dr. Mulenga.
And in a similar incident, a 40 year old man of Solwezi has been robbed of K4,250.00 by unknown people through mobile money.
Dr. Mulenga said the incident happened on Friday around 11 hours in Solwezi and identified the victim as Noi Imaka of Low Density area.
He said no arrest has been made while a docket has since been opened with a manhunt launched.
