Minister of Green Economy and Environment Eng Collins Nzovu has noted with great concern that the poor economic status coupled with climatic change are sources of poverty among the vulnerable citizens such as the youths and the women.
Speaking at the launch of worldwide fund for nature (WWF) Zambia and MTN Zambia innovation challenge foundation in Lusaka today, Eng Nzovu expressed confidence that foundation will promote innovation which is critical in accelerating development and alleviating poverty among the vulnerable people.
He has since thanked (WWF) Zambia and MTN Zambia for coming up with the foundation further stating that solutions to problems affecting various sectors such as agriculture and the energy sector must be addressed by young innovators.
He has also underscored the need to find ways of utilizing the natural resources prudently whilst promoting national development.
