Shakarongo Music and Entertainment will this Wednesday, November 17th host a music workshop for female musicians in the country.
This is an online workshop to be held in collaboration with Musicalica, a Swedish Culture and Theatre organisation. Musicalica consists a team of music and theatre teachers, project managers, composers and performing artistes. This organisation has helped a lot of young people make their own projects including theatre, events and music gigs.
It is against this background that this workshop to help the female musicians is planned . The workshop will be held at NIPA Conference Center in Lusaka and will be led by Sabina Renck, Vice Chairman of Musicalica, who is also coach and actress.
Fifteen musicians have been selected for this event.
These are Angela Daka, Theresa Ng’ambi, Mazuba Phiri and drummer Mercy Payton. Others are guitarists Twalumba Moonga and Faith Chilumbu, vocalist Taonga Tembo(Burning Youth) , Adasa Jonazi, Liseli Akayombo, Ichisa N’gambi, Thokozile Mwale, Tulile Siyumbwa, Burge Daka, and singer Natasha Chengala.
Shakarongo Music and Entertainment founder and veteran musician/administrator Brian Shakarongo Chengala hopes this workshop will inspire confidence among the female artistes.
