VISITING female entrepreneur and artiste from the United Kingdom Thali Lotus says she is set to create audio technology that will carry the voice of Africa in three dimensions of education, entertainment and empowerment.
Speaking in an exclusive interview on her visit to Zambia and creation of the CAYA X3E Microphone under her organisation Come As You Are(CAYA), Ms. Lotus who has over the past 10 years worked with audio technology said she envisions the new microphone to be the centre of communication in educating, empowering and entertaining people.
She says using this latest audio creation, people especially youth will be encouraged to be more expressive and share their experiences through art, business and education.
“The CAYA was initially founded in 2016, initially as a sound system,” she said adding that this has grown into CAYA Enterprise where she educates people about the sound system culture and other related artistic activities.
“And there is also CAYA Audio where I am concentrating on creating my own microphones,” she said in explaining the creation of the CAYA X3E Microphone.
“The CAYA X3E stands for Educate, Entertain & Empower. This high spec microphone aims to inspire all who want to be heard! From Musicians working at home or live on stage, Educators giving keynote speeches or Hobbyists recording Podcasts,” she explains.
The key features of the CAYA X3E are that it is an all rounder microphone with a
high quality, bold in appearance, accessible globally, sustainable materially and high spec.
Lotus explains that she is in Zambia to share more on this audio creativity and experience, and inspire young people especially females to get involved in male dominated fields like audio technology.
Once launched, the CAYA X3E Microphone will be available online and in some selected countries in Africa, Zambia inclusive.
