LUSAKA Dynamos coach Manchi Janza is confident that his team will still make it to the ABSA Cup despite sitting second from bottom on the log with four games to go before the league reaches its mid – point.
Dynamos on Friday failed to keep sight of the gain ground on the top six teams on the log after playing to a 1-all draw against Chambishi at Nkoloma Stadium.
Victor Kashitu gave Chambishi the lead in the 22st minute but the Copperbelt team failed to keep their noses ahead allowing Dynamos to draw level.
Chipyoka Songa scored an equalizer for Dynamos in the 55th minute to earn a point for Dynamos.
However, this point is not enough for Dynamos to remain relevant in the chase for a top six finish before the league reaches its ‘halftime’
Janza is however confident that his team will rebound in the next four games and remain on the frame for a top six finish by Week 17.
“Our life in the ABSA Cup is still alive, we are looking forward to it. That is the main objective we cannot afford to be out of the ABSA Cup as being the defending champions. We have remained a few games and hopefully we will polish up,” Janza said.
Dynamos are the reigning ABSA Cup champions.
