Kabwe residents are tomorrow Tuesday 19th October, expected to take part in the Zambia Ending AIDS( ZEA) special health campaign dubbed 2021 Virtual Run.
The run kicks with Kabwe town and will move to other selected towns until 30th October, 2021.
This virtual run supported by various corporating partners is meant to create more awareness on various health issues. Set to draw participation across the country with key activations in seven selected districts namely Kabwe, Kitwe, Solwezi, Mufulira, Luanshya, Ndola and Kasama, the run is free with participants registering online.
Once registered through the ZEA online link, participants will be required to share data of their run, route taken and a picture taken at a health centre within their location.
In the seven selected districts, Kabwe inclusive, the runners will be led by established fitness clubs mainly from selected colleges and institutions of learning.
The ZEA running team will also participate in the run in partnership with the local running clubs among the selected towns. This is a run which comes with lots of health information benefits, giveaways, medals and T shirts awarded after validation.
After Kabwe on Tuesday 19th October, the run will move to Luanshya on Wednesday 20th, Mufulira on Thursday, Kitwe on Friday and Solwezi on 26th. This will later end with a special virtual festival called ‘Take Control Virtual Fest’ on Saturday 30th October in Ndola. Everyone can participate.
