Move for Multi-Party Democracy (MMD) new hope president Nevers Mumba has refuted some social media reports that the party is about to be dissolved.
Speaking during a media briefing on Monday, Dr. Mumba described the reports as fake news and that members of the public should ignore them.
He explained that the party is not in any way being dissolved but changing the entire outlook.
“We know where this is coming from, it is coming from some individuals who have nowhere to go after the change of government.” he said.
“MMD leadership believes in consulting membership if we decide we can consult members,” he said.
He said that the party has identified the mistakes and want to fix them.
Dr. Mumba further said that the downfall of MMD started 20 years ago when late President Fredrick Chiluba wanted a third term.
