…Becomes Zambia’s first female Justice Minister
President Hakainde Hichilema yesterday swore- in Princess Kasune as the new Minister of Justice, marking a milestone in Zambia’s history.
Ms Kasune becomes the first woman to hold the position of Minister of Justice , alongside two female Permanent Secretaries in the Ministry.
President Hichilema emphasized that this advancement in gender equality is expected to enhance coordination and collaboration within the Ministry.
He said while Government procedures should be respected , they should not hinder respecting governmental key objectives.
He expressed confidence that Kasune will build on the Ministry’s foundations and called on her Cabinet colleagues to provide robust support.
The President also highlighted the importance of utilizing local and diaspora talent to address skill gaps, aiming to optimize service delivery to the citizens.
