A suspected lover of Senenga district has been axed on the forehead by a jealous husband after she was allegedly found in a compromising position.
Police spokesperson Esther Katongo said Tumuyandi Mwauluka 35 was wounded by Misiyalela Nganga of Nalutambala Village in Chief Nalonge’ s area on Saturday around 04 : 00 hours.
Ms. Katongo said in a statement yesterday that upon returning from a drinking spree, Mr. Nganga found his wife and Mr Mwauluka in a compromised state, a situation that infuriated to an extent of axing him.
“Mr. Mwauluka sustained a deep cut on the left side of the forehead as an axe was allegedly used to inflict the injury,” she said.
Ms. Katongo said a medical report had been issued to Mr. Mwauluka but that no arrest had been made as investigations were still underway.
In a related development, Oscar Kalimbwe 45 of Nkeyema district was assaulted by Nayunda others details unknown after suspecting him of proposing love to his wife.
Ms. Katongo said Mr. Kalimbwe was on Saturday around 11 : 00 hours found chatting with Mr. Nayunda’s wife, a situation which raised suspicion that he was proposing love to his wife.
She explained that Mr. Nayunda got angry and in the process beat up the victim leaving him with a swollen face and a painful left shoulder as fist were alleged to have been used.
Ms. Katongo said the matter was reported to the police and medical report from the Hospital issued while Police were still making arrangements to arrest Mr. Nayunda.
