The Disaster Management and Mitigation Unity DMMU said it will provide logical support to the Chingola accident victims.
The Government is saddened by the loss of five (5) members of the same family who died in an accident which happened in Chingola on Sunday, 12th September, 2021.
The Office of the Vice President through the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit – DMMU has sent a message of condolences to the bereaved family and wished them God’s comfort and strength during this period of mourning.
DMMU National Coordinator Mr. Chanda Kabwe says losing 5 members of the family at once is heartbreaking not only to the family but to the whole country as well.
The National Coordinator said Government through his Unit will take up funeral expenses which include coffins, transport, food and other logistics that will be required at the funeral house.
“It is really heartbreaking to lose 5 members of the same family in a road traffic accident. To the bereaved family, please accept my government’s deepest condolences on the untimely death of your beloved ones. As government, we will stand with you during this very difficult period,” Mr. Kabwe stated.
Five members of the same family died on Sunday around 22:00 hours in a Road Traffic Accident which happened along Chingola-Solwezi Road on the Copperbelt Province.
